2010 Annual Conference Handouts PDF Print E-mail
When you think about Weaving a Tapestry of Readers and Writers, MRA's 54th annual conference, what comes to mind first? Is it Patricia Polocco, holding up her original Keeping Quilt, and telling her endearing stories? Breakfast with a Michigan author? A colorful parade of wide-eyed children and drummers? The Detroit Historical Museum?  Barry Lane's Motown Cabaret? Or, perhaps, a conversation with a friend? A favorite session? We hope that, within the many vibrant strands that MRA provided, each of you wove a rich and memorable personal and professional experience at our annual conference.

Thanks to you, we did. We are enriched and inspired by the over 2500 educators who joined us in Detroit on March 19-22. Thank you for sharing in our passion for promoting literacy.

All the best,
Pat Gallant, 2009-2010 MRA President
Kathy Operhall, 2010 MRA Conference Chair
