As we look ahead to spring, MRA is moving its annual conference online during the weekend of March 12 to 14, 2021. One of our featured speakers is crowd-favorite Donalyn Miller.
Donalyn Miller is an award-winning teacher, author, and staff development leader who has taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grade language arts and social studies in the Fort Worth, Texas area.
Donalyn’s first book, The Book Whisperer details her journey to become a reading teacher and describes how she motivates her middle school students to read over 40 books a year.
Donalyn and her husband Don have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. They live in Colleyville, Texas in a house full of bookshelves.
Enjoy a short clip where Donalyn reveals what is a determining factor in keeping students in school longer.
